Exceptional extension of the deadlines for masters and doctoral scholarships in the country

Ordinance No. 55, dated April 29, 2020, was published in the Official Gazette of the Union, which provides for the extension of the deadlines for masters and doctoral scholarships in the country, within the scope of the programs and competences of the Directorate of Programs and Scholarships in the Country (DPB), and exclusion of the variable time of degree in indicators related to the evaluation of graduate programs in the 2017-2020 quadrennium.

The action has an exceptional impact and will make it possible to extend the duration of the master’s and doctoral scholarships for students whose studies have been hampered by the coronavirus pandemic.

The extension of the scholarships’ validity period must be requested through an occurrence in the Scholarship and Aid Control System (SCBA).  Due to necessary adjustments in the system, the occurrence “PERFORM EXCEPTIONAL EXTENSION” will only be available as of next Wednesday.

Finally, SCBA will open normally on May 4, 2020, according to the calendar officially released in December 2019.
